Ideas for Teaching (and Learning) Islamic Knowledge to Kids

I have starting using a Word Wall where I get the kids to write (in Arabic) basic words I want them to know. The idea is to read 10 words per week and gradually build up their vocabulary.  I call the Islamic words ‘popcorn words’ because they pop up in all aspects of our life.

The popcorn words I am trying to teach are:

salat, shahadah, rasul, nabi, malaikat

We go over the words, talk about the meaning and put it in context to reinforce.

I also ask everyone to make a sentence with the word, to check comprehension.
